Group Leaders rock!  

You all lead amazing groups in awesome work and then turn around when you get the vans home and show up to tell the church about the trip the very next Sunday. 

Because you are so awesome, we want to make your process for getting to Motown and your time here the best and most efficient it can be.  So, below are some hopefully helpful links.  Please call if you have any questions!

  • To BEGIN the process of signing up a group, please jump to our REGISTRATION page.  (You can also get a PDF registration form in the PREPARE section, but we prefer online if you can swing it!)
  • To TELL YOUR HOME CHURCH ABOUT MOTOWN MISSION please visit the SHARE section of our site, or download some fliers/brochures from the PREPARE page.
  • Once you've sent in your $75/person DEPOSIT please start putting together your group into PROJECT TEAMS.  These should be self-contained units within your group that have:
    • About 10 youth
    • 2 counselors, one of whom hopefully has some expertise in leading a group of youth in a particular kind of service work (ie dywall, rough carpentry, gardening, etc).
    • A van or other mode of transportation.
    • A Water Cooler, Tools for your project, work gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen, etc for all participants.
  • Before you arrive, please visit our DOWNLOADS and EXCURSIONS section for 
    • Bible studies and Motor City info to get your group ready for their week in Detroit!
    • Packing lists for individuals and groups
    • Info on Detroit spots you may want to visit during your trip.
  • 4 weeks before your trip, please send in your REMAINING BALANCE of $200/person.
